Stall sites reach near-full capacity three months out from Festival
The Devonport Food and Wine Festival has almost reached full capacity for the 2006 Festival with only two wine and three
food sites left available. With event organizers putting a strong focus on the quality and calibre of the Festival it is
guaranteed the public will be treated to a superb selection of food and wine in 2006.
Gavin Busch, President of Devonport Rotary, says “The Devonport Rotary Club appreciates the effort and work undertaken
to date by Kathy Cunningham and her team at empire PR and Events in assembling such a fantastic array of stallholders
for 2006.”
Vineyards and winery newcomers to the event include Stonyridge of Waiheke Island, Ascension from Matakana and Rockburn
of Central Otago. Pyrénées Deli of Cheltenham and White restaurant of Hilton Auckland are also only a taste of the new
food purveyors at the Festival. With over 30 stalls, both old and new patrons to this iconic event will be surprised at
the diverse array of food and wine from paua and prawns to authentic Indian and Italian accompanied by Deutz Rose,
Framingham Marlborough wine and Amor Bendall Chardonnay Reserve.
With the Devonport Food and Wine Festival being in its 17 consecutive year organisers have be scouring the country to
ensure the 2006 Festival showcases some of the best wine and food New Zealand has to offer. A soon to be released
announcement of the entertainment is also set to treat Festival goers. A limit of 12,000 tickets will be available from
