Big Changes for Panmure
The Tamaki Community Board received plans for upgrades to the Panmure Mainstreet, Community Centre car park and Panmure Historic Precinct at the Tamaki Community Board meeting last night. Also on the agenda was an update for the board on the Mt Wellington Quarry Development.
We have actively consulted community groups about changes to the Panmure Main Street and community centre car park and all parties seem to be happy.” Said Tamaki Community Board Chair, Kate Sutton.
“There has been controversy surrounding the Mt Wellington Quarry consultation and the board is trying to rectify that by setting up clearer methods of communication from the developers and the Council to the community.” Ms Sutton continued.
“It’s a time of great change for the Tamaki Community and its vital we get this right, there will be population and infrastructure growth in this area and we all have to be ready for that.” Sutton finished.
