Telstra Clear backs learning at Christchurch City Libraries
Christchurch City Libraries has received a major boost from TelstraClear, which has announced it will sponsor all of the internet and telecommunication charges for the South learning Centre at South Christchurch Library. The deal is the third year that TelstraClear has offered such support.
The sponsorship deal will be ratified at an official signing between Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore and TelstraClear South Island Sales Manager Andrew Fennell today.
The sponsorship arrangement will provide the Centre with vital internet access and telecommunications for the 1000+ children and residents who access programmes at the South Learning Centre every month.
John Truesdale, Manager of Digital Library Services said “without the sponsorship from organisations like TelstraClear who are involved at the South Learning Centre, we would not be able to provide the best technology, programmes and professional development opportunities for local resident”.
