Nominations close for the Auckland City Council (Tamaki Community Board) by-election
At the close of nominations today, four candidates have been nominated for the Auckland City Council (Tamaki Community Board) by-election being held on Friday 14 October 2005.
Nominations received are from:
- Julian AUSTIN (Citizens & Ratepayers Now)
- Sherryl MCKELVIE
- Mike MURRAY (Labour)
- Ras RASALINGAM
The by-election is for one position on the Community Board following the resignation of Christine Heke.
The by-election will be held by postal ballot, with voting documents mailed to approximately 29,000 electors from Thursday 22 September 2005. Results will be known following the close of voting at 12 noon, Friday 14 October 2005.
