Medical Officer of Health to talk on vaccination
Maybe you have had the flu jab this year or taken part in the meningococcal B vaccination programme. But how much do you
know about the vaccines that you have received?
Canterbury Medical Officer of Health Dr Mel Brieseman will speak on vaccination at this month's Science in the City
lecture on Wednesday 31 August, 1.10pm-1.50pm at Our City O-Tautahi, cnr Worcester Boulevard and Oxford Tce.
His lecture will address some of the concerns around vaccination, provide a brief history of vaccination and give
details of the local vaccination schedule. Science in the City is a joint effort by the Canterbury Branch of the Royal
Society and Christchurch City Council to provide free lectures on topical scientific issues, principally for people who
work and live in the central city.
Lectures are held on the last Wednesday of each month, starting at 1.10pm. For more information about events and
