Project Twin Streams Cycle and Walkway Network Open Days
The public is invited to give their ideas about the planned cycle and walkway networks at open days.
In addition to the stream bank restoration being undertaken by Project Twin Streams, a network of cycle and walkways will be built along the stream edges over the next few years.
This network will assist people to get around their community and the city more easily and safely. While it is intended to construct the cycle and walkway network over the next few years, it will focus initially on three areas: the Oratia Stream, Lower Waikumete and Lower Opanuku.
While the general location of the routes has been decided, there are still many details the Council needs to get right to ensure the network meets the communities’ needs.
