Monday August 1 is the last day to register dogs at for the 2005/2006 year at a discounted price.
Owners of Waitakere City’s 12,755 dogs can pay for their canines by post or in person at the Civic Centre in Henderson or at Memorial Drive New Lynn or at the Massey Library.
For unspeyed or unneutered dogs the fee is $94 if paid before August 1 or $141 after August 1.
The fee for speyed/neutered dogs is $68 before August 1 or $102 after August 1.
The fee for dog owner licence holder unspeyed/unneutered dogs is $55 (after August 1 is $82.50). For speyed/neutered dogs the cost for dog owner license holders is $48 (after Monday $72).
Superannuitants’ dogs cost $48 or $72 if paid after Monday. Seeing eye and hearing dogs cost $3; after Monday $4.50.
All dogs over the age of three months must be registered. Non compliance with dog registration may result in an instant fine or court prosecution.
