Murder Victim Was A Mother
Katrina Ann Jefferies, the woman found dead in Waikowhai Reserve on Tuesday morning, was last seen by her mother at the home they shared in Whitmore Rd, Mt Roskill, at about 7.30pm on Sunday, July 10.
Katrina Ann Jefferies.
Katrina's mother is the caregiver to Katrina's 20 month-old son, who also lives in the same home. She is helping Police put together a "picture" of Katrina as inquiries into how, when and where she died, continue.
When last seen by her mother, Katrina was leaving the house to meet with a friend or friends. Police have not had any reported sightings of her from anyone else since. At the time of her death she was unemployed.
Police would like to hear from anyone who saw Katrina after 8pm on Sunday July 10 or from anyone who noticed any suspicious behaviour in the Mt Roskill or Hillsborough areas on that or the following night, Monday July 11.
Information can go to the Operation Waikowhai dedicated number, 0800 924 569.
