Media Release
Changes to Esmonde Road/Akoranga Drive off-ramp
As part of the Esmonde Road interchange upgrade, changes will be made to the Esmonde Road off-ramp and Akoranga Drive connections from Friday 22 April 2005 (weather permitting).
The westbound connection to Akoranga drive will be moved so that it separates from the Esmonde Road off-ramp approximately 50 metres beyond the present diverge.
Drivers should be aware that the Esmonde Road off-ramp will be realigned, however, the same destinations and number of lanes will be available. Two way traffic will also be operating on the connections to and from Akoranga Drive.
The speed limit on the off-ramp is 50km/hr and motorists are advised to drive with caution and expect some delays.
The Esmonde Road off-ramp and Akoranga Drive connections will be closed at night from Sunday 17 to Thursday 21 and from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 April to allow for these changes to be completed.
