Free community get-together for Aranui residents
There’ll be the chance to win a DVD player and spot prizes at a special free get-together for Aranui residents on Wednesday 11 May.
The session gives local people the chance to find out what’s happening in the Aranui community and have a say on local issues. There’s also time to catch up with other residents over a cuppa and something to eat.
There’ll also be news on the new shops on the corner of Breezes and Pages Roads, information on free Meningococcal B vaccinations for under 20’s, details of how to become a community emergency response team member, and the chance to meet Sia Batcheler, the new Pacific Island Liaison Facilitator working with local schools.
The evening get-together will run from 6 to 7.30pm at the Wainoni/Aranui Family Centre, Hampshire St, and is open to anyone living in Aranui. Refreshments will be provided free of charge, and people can just turn up on the night.
The get-together is being run by Aranui Community Renewal, which is a partnership between the Aranui community, Christchurch City Council and Housing New Zealand Corporation.
