Youth Twirls Pistol-Lighter At Plimmerton Railway Station
At about 12.15p.m today Police received reports of a teenage male standing on the Plimmerton Railway Station twirling what appeared to be a pistol.
Police contacted train control who held the train at the station while police could into position.
Armed police challenged the male and took him into custody without incident. The male was compliant with all requests made of him by the police.
A subsequent search of the male revealed a very realistic looking cigarette lighter fashioned to look like a magnum pistol.
The male turned out to be a 15 year youth who had never come to the attention of the police before this incident. He was very remorseful of his actions. After speaking with the youth and his parents it was decided that no charges would be laid. He is however going to be refered to Police Youth Aid Section for follow up.
