CMJ traffic bulletin: Tuesday 29 March until Thursday 31 March
Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures for work on the Central Motorway Junction upgrade over the next week.
CMJ Stage 1 Ramp and link closures: Tuesday 29 March ¡V CLOSED ¡V overnight from 8pm until 6am on Wednesday: ƒ{ƒnKhyber Pass on-ramp (SH1 southbound)
Wednesday 30 March ¡V CLOSED ¡V overnight from 8pm until 6am on Thursday: ƒ{ƒnKhyber Pass off-ramp (SH1 southbound) ƒ{ƒnGillies Ave on-ramp (SH1 northbound)
Ongoing motorway lane closures: There will be ongoing north and southbound lane closures at night on the Southern Motorway between the Gillies Ave on- and off-ramps and the Symonds St overbridge from Sunday through to Thursday nights until April 2005.
Please choose alternative routes during these closures. Motorists are advised that there could be delays.
CMJ Stage 2 Ramp and link closures: Tuesday 29 until Thursday 31 March ¡V CLOSED ¡V overnight from 9pm until 6am the following morning: ƒ{ƒnSouthern Motorway (SH1) southbound between Cook St off-ramp and Hobson St on-ramp ƒ{ƒnSouthern Motorway (SH1) northbound between Nelson St off-ramp and Wellington St on-ramp ƒ{ƒnPort to Northwestern Motorway (SH16 westbound) link ƒ{ƒnHobson St on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) ƒ{ƒnNorthwestern Motorway (SH16) to Newton Rd off-ramp (citybound)
During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.
Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
The CMJ Project Stage 1 of Transit¡¦s Central Motorway Junction upgrade project covers the section of motorway between the Upper Queen St over-bridge and Gillies Ave on- and off-ramps and is scheduled for completion in 2005.

Stage 2 of Transit¡¦s Central Motorway Junction upgrade project extends from Bond St on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the interface with CMJ Stage 1 near Symonds St and from Cook St on the Southern Motorway (SH1) to Symonds St.
