Silver screen lights up Victoria Park
Aucklanders are invited to bring a bean bag and some popcorn to Victoria Park on 16 and 17 March to enjoy some great
free Kiwi entertainment under the stars.
Following the success of the Open Air Cinema Urs Bauer is back for two nights only, projecting ten New Zealand short
films onto a giant inflatable screen.
The selection of short films, provided by the New Zealand Film Commission, will show at the park on both nights from
8.30pm to 10.30pm.
Multiple award winner and Oscar nominee Two Cars, One Night, directed by Taika Waititi, is one of the films being
featured.
The free screening, which is part of Auckland City’s ‘Living Room’ series, was scheduled to take place in December last
year but was postponed due to bad weather.

Living Room is a pilot project that is part of the Auckland’s CBD Into the future strategy, which aims to transform
Auckland’s CBD into one of the worlds most vibrant and dynamic business and cultural centres.
The Living Room series is funded from the CBD targeted rate and its aim is to entice people to get out of the house and
experience the CBD in a new way.
