Aranui update and get-together for residents
There’ll be news on the changes happening in Aranui, the chance to ‘have your say’ and time to catch up with other Aranui people over a cuppa and something to eat, at a special free get-together for Aranui locals on Wednesday 9 March.
The evening get-together will run from 6 to 7.30pm at the Wainoni/Aranui Family Centre, Hampshire St, and is open to anyone living in Aranui. Refreshments will be provided free of charge, and people can just turn up on the night.
As well as hearing about what’s new in the community, there’ll be the chance to find out about applying for money from ‘Family Assistance’ for working families, get information on Aranui’s community liaison ambassador safety programme and hear from Aranui’s community constable.
There’ll also be the chance to have a say on things that affect Aranui, and time to ask questions about any other issues.
The get-together is being run by Aranui Community Renewal, which is a partnership between the Aranui community, Christchurch City Council and Housing New Zealand Corporation.
For further information contact Rachael Fonotia, Aranui Community Trust Project Coordinator on 963 7072.
