CMJ traffic bulletin: Saturday 29 January until Thursday 3 February
Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures for work on the Central Motorway Junction
upgrade over the next week.
CMJ Stage 1
Ramp and link closures:
Sunday 30 January - CLOSED - during the day and at night from 8am until 8pm:

Tuesday 1 February - CLOSED - overnight from 8pm until 6am on Wednesday:

Ongoing motorway lane closures:
There will be ongoing north and southbound lane closures at night on the Southern Motorway between the Gillies Ave on-
and off-ramps and the Symonds St overbridge from Sunday through to Thursday nights until early 2005.
Please choose alternative routes during these closures. Motorists are advised that there could be delays.

Ramp and link closures
Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 February - CLOSED - from 8pm until 6am

. Northwestern to Southern Motorway Link (SH16 to SH1 southbound)
. Port to Northwestern Motorway Link (SH16 westbound)
. Northwestern Motorway to Port Link (SH16 portbound)
. Wellesley St on-ramp to Northwestern Motorway (SH16 westbound)
. Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to Newton Rd off-ramp
. Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound between Nelson St off-ramp and Wellington St on-ramp
The CMJ Project
Stage 1 of Transit's Central Motorway Junction upgrade project covers the section of motorway between the Upper Queen St
over-bridge and Gillies Ave on- and off-ramps and is scheduled for completion in 2005.

Stage 2 of Transit's Central Motorway Junction upgrade project extends from Bond St on the Northwestern Motorway (SH16)
to the interface with CMJ Stage 1 near Symonds St and from Cook St on the Southern Motorway (SH1) to Symonds St.
