*Friday Night with The Moody Blues and 60 Sculptors in Upper Hutt *
A "Night in White Satin' tonight at Harcourt Park in Upper Hutt
celebrates the Moody Blues coming to NZ for the first time in April.
At the stonecarving event where 60 sculptors fron around Central NZ are working in Oamaru stone a night of Moody Blues music is being
presented.
Band member Justin Hayward has recorded a personalsed message for Upper Hutt in Monaco to be played at tonights event. Public attending will aslo have a chance to find out more about the band's concert in April as well as a chance to win 2 tickets to the
concert.
Concert Promoter Phil Sprey will be on hand to mix with Moody
Blues fans. The public can bring their own vinyl records and CDs of the Moodys for a play on the outdoor sound system from 6.30 pm t0 around 9 pm.
Upper Hutt City Promotion Manager Paul Lambert says Harcourt Park is
regarded as one of the best outdoor locations in the region and its
Lord of the Rings film locations there brings many overseas vistors to the park.
