Crash victims named
The names of the two crew members of the Piper Seneca that crashed on Mount Taranaki yesterday have been released. They are:
Wayne Stratford, 41 of Nelson John Hoskin, 63 of Nelson
NZ Police have assumed control of today’s recovery operation and will attempt to reach the crash site at about 10:00 this morning, weather permitting.
The forecast for the area is poor with strong westerly winds and showers.
Mount Taranaki was still covered in cloud at 7:00 this morning.
