Save the planet for real! Calling all eco-agents
Defend the earth against pollution and save our planet for real!
This is the message on the lips of our region’s very own eco-friendly superhero Agent Ani, as she prepares for this year’s Farmers Santa Parade.
“I’m looking forward to hitting Queen St this Sunday afternoon. I’ll be with some of my finest eco-agents, showing the people of the region just how much of a difference they can make,” says Ani.
With over 3000 dedicated eco-agents on her books, Agent Ani is confident that the youth of the Auckland region are in touch with the challenges we all face to keep our beaches, our streams, our air and our land clean.
Ani and her crew will be accompanied by the Auckland Regional Council’s hybrid Honda Civic. The hybrid is an eco-friendly car that combines a petrol engine with an electric motor to create a hybrid system that boosts performance and fuel economy and substantially reduces emissions.
Eco-agents will also be demonstrating another sustainable and futuristic mode of transport – the Segway. Segway human transporters are rechargeable, emission free, self-balancing scooters with intuitive control that is guided by your natural motion.
“So, please visit www.ecokids.co.nz and become an eco-agent,” suggests our superhero.
“Your mission will be to get out there and defend the planet – for REAL,” she says. “And it’s fun!”
