"Auckland City Council is pro-business"
We recognise the vital role the city plays in the national and regional economy and have set up a new economic development committee specifically to address the issues facing the sector.
If arts, culture and the city’s heritage are the heart of Auckland, sustainable business is its lifeblood.
I’ve been a businessman for 35 years and gave a commitment to the business community that I would be a champion for them.
This council will be formally considering its financial policy direction for the first time on Thursday at the first Annual Plan Direction Setting meeting. Ensuring we foster the health of our business community is a top priority.
We are a team, we are a focused team and we will be working hard for business in Auckland.
I look forward to giving you more information next Wednesday morning at a special breakfast briefing where I will be speaking about my vision for the future of Auckland’s economy.”
