Jellie Park pools closing over Labour Weekend
Christchurch City Council's pools at Jellie Park Aqualand will be closed for three days over Labour Weekend, from noon on Saturday 23 October, reopening at 6am on Tuesday 26 October.
The reason for the closure is so that the filtration and heating system for the indoor and outdoor pools can be integrated into one system.
Jellie Park's manager, Dave Henderson, says that over the closure period the indoor pools do not need to be drained but they will not be heated. The outdoor pools, which are currently closed for winter, are still on schedule for opening at show weekend (on Saturday 13 November).
Other services offered at Jellie Park Aqualand (Body Tamers Fitness Centre and Jellie Park physiotherapy) will not be affected by the closure, and will continue to operate during their normal business hours.
Upcoming events at Jellie Park The outdoor pools at Jellie Park Aqualand open on Saturday 13 November. For a great day outdoors come and enjoy swimming outside in the heated pools, with hyrdoslides, diving boards and picnic areas.
