Roading New Zealand Congratulates Winning Bypass Contractor
Roading New Zealand is pleased to see that work will begin on the Wellington Inner City Bypass in December and that one of its members, Fulton Hogan, has been awarded the contract.
Roading New Zealand’s Chief Executive, Chris Olsen says “It’s great to see that Transit New Zealand received three good bids for the project and that the winning bid was right on the estimated cost of the project. The awarding of this contract means that the roading industry remains busy, but it still has capacity using a New Zealand workforce.”
Fulton Hogan was the Deloitte 2002 New Zealand Company of the Year.
Mr Olsen understands that Fulton Hogan will use a combination of their own resources and local sub-contractors
Roading New Zealand represents the majority of New Zealand's roading construction companies. Member companies currently contract and/or build up to 90% of Transit’s work and 70% of Territorial Authority roading work, and have a combined turnover of approximately $1.4 billion per annum.
