Stop clowning around Mr Hubbard
Aaron Bhatnagar, Hobson Community Board member today called for Dick Hubbard, mayoral contender, to stop clowning around and release some policy details.
"So far, Dick Hubbard's main contribution to the mayoral debate has been to try and smear John Banks. He has alleged comments that the Mayor had made. Subsequent investigation shows that Mr Hubbard has gotten basic facts wrong, and is now trying to claim that this is now just semantics," said Mr Bhatnagar.
"Whatever happened to research? I am concerned that Mr Hubbard is standing for mayor of the city but he hasn't done his homework on his reason for running. For someone who is apparently trying to play up the nice guy image he is coming across as a nasty and desperate campaigner. In the absence of any solid policy, all I can see is that he he wants to argue semantics," said Mr Bhatnagar.
"Stop clowning around Mr Hubbard. You got your facts wrong, You smeared the Mayor's reputation. You owe him an apology. For someone who objects to an abrasive political style you sure are doing a lot to make this election unpleasant," said Mr Bhatnagar.
