Inwithtim.co.nz Website Launched by Wellington Mayoral Candidate
Wellington mayoral candidate, Timothy O’Brien, today launched his campaign website, http://www.inwithtim.co.nz.
Tim O’Brien says that the website is one of the primary ways his campaign will be communicating with voters.
“The site is a fast and efficient way to inform a lot of people about our policies,” Tim says.
“We’re also asking for feedback and questions from people as well as letting them know about what’s going on and how they can help with the campaign.”
The site will be regularly updated throughout the campaign. Its features will include a daily campaign diary, audio and video about policy and articles outlining what Tim thinks about Wellington and how it should be governed along with backgrounders to the way he has come to these ideas.
But Tim says the web won’t be the campaign’s only connection with voters.
“I am well aware that many people still lack access to this vital new medium. We are encouraging those who do have it, to copy material freely and distribute it.
“We will also be using more traditional methods such as fliers and we will be organising speaking events where the public can hear more about the campaign.”
Writer and broadcaster, Tim O’Brien, is a native Wellingtonian. He says he was persuaded to stand for the mayoralty by the possibility that a wide range of views about the city’s future were not going to be represented in the current campaign.
