Pioneer Polar Rave Promises to be the 'coolest' TV2 KidsFest Opening Event TV2 KidsFest, 180 events for children all
over Christchurch, Canterbury and North Canterbury between July 3rd and 16th.
Almost 20 events are already sold out in this years TV2 KidsFest festival, kicking off on Saturday 3rd and running
throughout the two-week winter school holidays.
A phenomenal response from parents and caregivers all over the city will result in an estimated 60,000 ticket sales this
year.
The festival, aimed at children up to 12 years old, is in its 13th year and has grown to include over 180 events.
With the weather chilly outside, children will be having a warm 'cool' time at the Pioneer Polar Rave - the opening
event of TV2 KidsFest - held this Saturday July 3rd from 6 to 8pm at Pioneer Stadium.
The stadium will be decorated like a winter wonderland with special features including an inflatable slide, and a 'white
glow' area where anything white (include a mouth of smiley teeth!) will glow under purple lights.
The supervised dance party for kids will include a great music and light show and children will have the opportunity to
talk by speakerphone to the winter-over crew at Scott Base in the Antarctic. Scotty the Scott Base penguin will be on
hand for hugs, along with the Antarctic Centre Penguin.
