Vision Manawatu Appoints
Smart Business Associate Director
Lyn McCurdy has been appointed Associate Director of Vision Manawatu’s Smart Business initiative.
Smart Business is one of three strategic priorities for Vision Manawatu, the economic development agency for the Manawatu region, which is home base for businesses with a combined worth of $6.2 billion.
Ms McCurdy was previously Project Manager with Vision Manawatu working on the development of the organisation’s Smart Business Acceleration Programme, an intensive 14-week ‘hands on, mini MBA’ course for local businesses that aims to take them from being ordinary businesses to being high growth enterprises.
She has a background in SME business development, automation technology, the pharmaceutical sector, human resources and sales management.
Ms McCurdy is also a Director of R Solutionz, a Palmerston North based company she co-founded in 1996 that specialises in the design, development and commercial realisation of technological solutions.
She a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and holds a BSc from Newcastle University, NSW, Australia, plus graduate qualifications in education and business administration.
