Free bus travel for Veterans on ANZAC Day
This coming ANZAC Day, Sunday 25 April, Stagecoach in Auckland and Wellington is offering free bus travel for War Veterans.
“Stagecoach is pleased to be able to honor the men and women who have fought for our freedom,” says Warren Fowler, Stagecoach New Zealand’s Operations Director. “On Sunday, communities throughout our region will commemorate the landing of the ANZAC forces at Gallipoli in the Dardanelles in 1915. We hope that by offering free bus travel to our war veterans, we too will remember.”
Stagecoach, Cityline and Link bus drivers have been instructed to give free travel to war veterans, by identifying them through the wearing of their war medals and/or display of RSA badges.
