These school holiday’s kids will get their chance to draw a favourite cartoon character on the footpath outside Shirley Library on Tuesday 20 April, 2 – 4 pm.
‘It’s a colourful, creative way to get children involved in the library‘ says Liz Stevenson, children’s librarian.
When the art is complete, it will be sprayed with a protective coating which can last up to six months.
The ‘street art’ session is just one of the fun activities planned in the Christchurch City Libraries school holiday programme for 5 to 12 year olds. Other activities include storytelling with Liz Weir and competitions in each library.
