Victoria Square concert to celebrate Race Relations Day
Music and dance from South America, Japan, India, Africa and Scotland will all be part of this Saturday’s (20 March) Race Relations Day Concert in Victoria Square, starting at 1.30pm.
Organised by the Christchurch Ethnic Council in conjunction with the Human Rights Commission and Christchurch City Council, the event will be a showcase of Christchurch’s cultural diversity. Councillor Ishwar Ganda is to be Master of Ceremonies.
If wet the concert will be held in the Salvation Army Citadel, cnr Durham and Chester Streets.
