Invercargill Schools Protest To Be Broadcast on Sky
Invercargill Mayor Tim Shadbolt is inviting all communities in New Zealand who are still threatened by school closures to tune into Sky Channel 90 (Southland Television) where a public meeting calling on the Prime Minister to stop school reviews will be broadcast live.
Invercargill’s school principals are unanimous that the Government moratorium on school reviews should be extended to Invercargill.
The Mayor has invited Prime Minister Helen Clark to the meeting to see for herself Invercargill’s feelings about why we should be treated differently to the rest of New Zealand.
When: Monday 1 March Time: 7pm
Where: Ascot Park Hotel, Invercargill
Southland Television will broadcast the meeting LIVE on Sky Channel 90.
