$8 million car park opening 12 February
Auckland City’s Mayor, Hon John Banks, will be opening the two-storey extension of the Downtown Car park, providing 410 extra parking spaces for use by commuters and visitors to the central business district (CBD), on Thursday 12 February.
The $8 million extension is part of Auckland City’s plans to inject growth and extra vitality to the CBD.
Mr Banks will travel to the opening event in MOTAT’s oldest vehicle – the International buggy. The car is similar to a horseless carriage.
