Free Family Fun Day at Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa
The summer fun isn't over for Mangere residents. Manukau City Council's Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa leisure centre is holding a free family day on 14 February.
Head to the centre on Mascot Avenue from 10am on Saturday 14th for a major day of fun and entertainment.
The Police and the Fire Service will put on displays, and the Streets fire engine will be available for rides. For a small charge people can have a go at the jeep cars or gladiators activity.
The live entertainment line up includes country/pop singer Ashley Sua, Cook Island dance group Te Avaiki, hip hop sounds from No Artificial Flavours and the all girl hip hop dance group Estarr.
Breakers Qwik n Ezy make an appearance along with other entertainers Talita, Sara-Jane, Sela Mahe, First Man, Keneti Muaiava, Lyrically Sound, Flep, and Koko Lani.
Council’s Leisure Services Manager, Brett Jude, says that pool fun days are about bringing communities together, providing activities for youth and families and encouraging people to have fun and develop confidence in the water.
"The Moana Nui a Kiwa Fun Pools provide a great venue for days like this - with a 2.6 metre jump/bombing pool and a water slide. There are also five irregular shaped pools providing entertainment for the whole family, plus a splash and lap pool indoors."
