Current Painted Apple Moth Aerial Operation Over

The current general aerial operation, against the painted apple moth, is now over – Thursday, 18 December.
Today’s general aerial operation, in the 5 high-risk areas covering less than 1,000 hectares started at first light this
morning and finished at 9.20am today. There was no treatment between 8am and 9am as children travelled to school.
The next planned operation is a targeted helicopter operation scheduled for Monday, 29 December. Over summer targeted
helicopter operations take place in Swanson/Ranui and Riverpark to treat the difficult areas. These targeted helicopter
operations, covering less than 57 hectares, are scheduled to follow each 21-day general aerial operation at about 10 day
intervals.
