“Excellent” audit report for Greater Wellington
Greater Wellington Regional Council has once again earned “excellent” grades in all five aspects of its financial and service performance systems from Audit New Zealand.
Every year, Audit New Zealand provides Greater Wellington with an overview of its financial and service performance management. For the year ending 30 June 2003, the Council was graded “excellent” in all areas and received an unqualified audit opinion.
GW Chief Financial Officer Greg Schollum said, “We are delighted to have achieved five excellent grades out of five, for the third year in a row. This reflects well on the solid management control framework within Greater Wellington and, coupled with our AA credit rating, reinforces the quality of the financial management framework in operation.”
