Christchurch City Council hosting end-of-year cycle seminar
A seminar about cycling is being hosted by the Christchurch City Council at 5.40pm on Tuesday, 2 December. The seminar is in the ground floor Council chambers on Tuam Street.
Councillor Chrissie Williams says the city is known nationally for its cycle expertise and initiative. The seminar is an opportunity for anyone interested in cycling to hear about some of the progress being made in the city.
"Christchurch is recognised nationally as leading in our cycle planning, promotions and provision of infrastructure," Cr Williams says. "At the NZ Cycling Conference 2003 held in Auckland in October a quarter of the presentations were from Christchurch people."
