TRAFFIC BULLETIN
Major restrictions at Beach Road intersection
Transit New Zealand advises all road users in the Grafton Gully area that there will be major restrictions to traffic movements at the Beach Road/Stanley Street/Parnell Rise/The Strand intersection in Parnell this weekend.
The following traffic movements will not be available between 2am and 11pm Saturday 15 November:
- No left turn from Stanley Street into Beach Rd
- No right turn from The Strand into Beach Rd
- No straight-through access from Parnell Rise to Beach Rd
Diversions will be in place and will be clearly signposted – please take extra care. All other traffic movements will be possible; however there may be delays due to the restrictions.
All work is weather permitting, and in the event of bad weather, work will be postponed until Sunday (16 November).
The changes are part of ongoing work at the intersection as part of the Grafton Gully Project. Changes to the intersection will be completed by the end of 2003 and will result in better access between motorway on and off-ramps and the port.
Transit thanks all road users and residents for their co-operation.
For more information on the Grafton Gully project, visit the project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street and Alten Road, phone 0800 ToFreeflow (0800 863 733) or visit the Transit website www.transit.govt.nz.
