Anzac Drive artwork to be unveiled on 11 November
Poppies over Gallipoli, a commemorative artwork for Anzac Drive in Christchurch, will be officially unveiled at 10.45am on Tuesday, 11 November.
The work, by local artists Judith Streat and Ian Lamont, symbolises the Anzac spirit and captures the poignancy of human loss during wartime. The unveiling ceremony coincides with Remembrance Day and the signing of the Armistice which ended World War I.
Reporters, photographers and interested members of the public are welcome to attend the ceremony, at the south-west corner of Anzac Drive and the Travis Road roundabout. Parking is available in the QEII car park.
