Transit awards new asset maintenance contract for Auckland state highways
Transit New Zealand has awarded its Auckland south network management assets (NMA) contract to MWH Ltd for a period of
three years from 1 October. The $9M contract covers 200km of motorways and state highways.
The area covered by the NMA includes SH1 from Oteha Valley Road on the North Shore to the SH2 interchange on the
southern side of the Bombay Hills, SH18, SH16 to Kumeu, and SH20 and SH22.
Transit Regional Manager, Wayne McDonald, says MWH will also be responsible for co-ordinating all repairs and
maintenance activities in away that minimises congestion and maximises safety, particularly during peak periods and at
night.
