Access to SH1 from Grafton on-ramp shifted
Transit New Zealand advises all motorists travelling in the Grafton Gully area that from 8pm tonight (Friday 19 September) the Grafton Road on-ramp and the link from the Port to the Northwestern Motorway will be closed while work is undertaken to relocate the access from Grafton Gully to the Southern Motorway.
When the Grafton Road on-ramp re-opens on Monday morning at 6am, the ramp entry point from the main southbound alignment will have shifted north (further down towards the Port).
This change will be clearly sign-posted and motorists are asked to take care as they adjust to the change.
Regular closure The Wellesley Street off-ramp northbound is closed this weekend from 7am tomorrow morning (Saturday 20) until 7pm Sunday night (21 September). Motorists are advised to use alternative off-ramps to access the city.
For more information about the work, please phone 0800 TO FREEFLOW (863 733) or visit the public information centre on the corner of Alten Road & Stanley Street, Grafton.
