PETONE ARTESIAN WATER SUPPLY RESUMED
Hutt City Council advises that the supply of artesian water to Petone was resumed on 3 September.
Petone has been supplied with a mix of artesian and chlorinated/fluoridated water from the Wainuiomata Treatment Plant since early May when works commenced on the realignment of a bulk water main, required as part of the Hutt Park roundabout upgrade.
The unchlorinated/unfluoridated artesian water supplied to Petone will take a few days to work its way through the reticulation system.
