COMBATANTS IN THE ARC RATES SAGA WILL LOCK HORNS
TONIGHT IN NORTHCOTE
ARC chair Gwen Bull and Rebellion spokesman David Thornton will go head to head as guest speakers at tonight's AGM of the Northcote Residents Association.
David Thornton proposes to covers issues such as the new Rating Support Team, the 78,000 'non-payers', rate penalties, the ARC's continuing failure to deal with transportation problems, the ongoing Britomart disaster, and the future [or lack of it] of the ARC.
"This will give me the opportunity to explain to Mrs Bull that her problem is not with ratepayers who cannot pay - but is with ratepayers who chose not to pay", says David Thornton.
The meeting is at 7.30pm in the Anglican Church Hall, Church Street, Northcote.
