Auckland City supports NZV8 International
Auckland City Council has confirmed its support of the NZV8 International motor sport championship by contributing $15,000 sponsorship.
The event, being held at Pukekohe on 7-9 November 2003, is round 12 of a 13 round championship series.
The event receives significant media coverage and profiles Auckland on the international motor sport stage. Auckland City receives substantial economic benefit from the event.
Motorsport is the second most popular sport for New Zealanders. The weekend of racing at Pukekohe should provide excellent entertainment for the 80,000 expected spectators to enjoy the ever-present rivalry between Holden and Ford.
