Big bus changes around Auckland

Regular bus user can expect changes to routes and schedules in different parts of Auckland – and a free bus trip across town in first week in August to celebrate the start of a new route service.
West Auckland changes:
- New operators have taken over some services.
- The Huia service has been discontinued.
- Most West Auckland services that terminated in the Auckland CBD now have new bus-stops at the Britomart Bus Precinct due to open on August 3.
- New timetables have been delivered to households across West Auckland and bus drivers are dispensing tear-off sheets outlining changes to services. Passengers can also call Rideline on 366 6400 or log onto www.rideline.co.nz" for details about changes to routes and timetables.
Central Auckland changes:
- A new cross-town service between Onehunga and Ponsonby (010/011) is starting, without having to go through the central city. For the first week, it will be FREE!!
- The shoppers services 019/022 are effectively replaced by Onehunga – Ponsonby service so is being deleted.
- The shoppers services 020/021 are being deleted due to poor patronage.
- There will be increased frequency on a number of services around Auckland Central.
- Passengers can call Rideline on 366 6400 or log onto www.rideline.co.nz" for details about changes to routes and timetables.
