Swimsational Holiday Programme At Papatoetoe Pools
Papatoetoe Swimsation Swim School will be introducing a new and improved holiday programme in the July school holidays.
Not only is Swimsation offering their usual fantastic swimming lessons throughout the school holidays but are also
introducing hour-long intensive programmes. The courses will run in the first week of the school holidays (7-11 July).
You can choose from
Starts, turns, and dives Snorkelling Water safety Breast stroke Free-style breathing Aquatic games.
Each one hour session is limited to 8 students, so you will need to book quickly. The sessions are suitable for kids
aged 5 till 15 years. The course, which is subsidised by Manukau City Council, is only $10.00 per person for each one
hour programme.
Senior Recreational Programmer, Jennifer Batt says, “Too many children do not know how to swim. Drowning is one of the
leading causes of accidental death in young children in New Zealand. Our fun learning programmes help develop the
self-esteem and confidence of participants as well as teaching the kids survival and swimming skills, and the dangers
associated with aquatic activities.
“The intensive training programme will allow more tuition time on specialist areas that are only covered briefly in
regular lessons for example starts, turns and dives. It will also provide help in those skills that children often take
more time to master, for example breast stroke and free-style breathing” says Ms Batt.
