Man found dead in house
Hamilton police are investigating the suspicious death of a man in the city last night. Police believe the man is a 20-year-old Asian student. He was found dead in the basement flat of a Clarkin Rd, Fairfield, house at about 11.30pm last night. He has not been positively identified.
Police were today talking to the occupants of the house and examining the house and property. The man’s body will remain in the house until later this afternoon, when a post mortem examination will be conducted.
Police cannot say at this stage how the man died. The inquiry at this stage has not been upgraded to a homicide.
