Waiouru project design funding deferred
Transfund defers decision on design funding for Waiouru Peninsular/SH1 connection
Transfund New Zealand has delayed its decision to fund Manukau City Council for work on the design of the Waiouru Peninsular to State Highway 1 connection.
The Transfund Board has concerns over the capacity of the proposed interchange and the potential impact on congestion levels on the motorway.
Chairman David Stubbs says the Board will be actively seeking a solution and will hold further discussions with Manukau City Council and Transit New Zealand - the two agencies involved in this project.
