Course teaches circus skills to children
Come one, come all to the Big Top Skills classes at Pioneer Leisure Centre on Tuesdays, 5.30pm-7pm.
Experienced tutor and performer David Spence will teach juggling, tumbling, acrobatics and other skills used by circus performers.
The classes are designed to suit children aged 7-16 of all abilities.
Circus skills are great for building confidence, increasing agility and teaching children the benefits of working as a team, David says.
David is a graduate of the Circo Arts programme at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and has had eight years experience as a performer.
The eight week course costs $36 and starts on May 13.
