Music in the Kitchen Free Friday Lunchtime Concert and Savour New Zealand Cooking Demonstration, Friday May 2nd,

This Friday lunchtime, smooth sounds and delicious smells will mingle in Cathedral Square as the Free Friday Lunchtime
Concert is joined by a Savour New Zealand cooking demonstration.
Jenny Melling and Robert Payne met at CPIT Jazz school and finding they had a musical style in common, they formed the
easy listening duo Reflection who have been together for over two years. They specialize in jazz, Latin, pop and easy
listening, performing at festivals and corporate events, as well as appearing on CTV's Good Living television show.
Their performance runs from 12 to 12.30pm.
The Savour New Zealand Festival 'caters to' passionate foodies, and from 12.30 to 1.30pm there will be the opportunity
to watch two celebrity chefs sharing secrets and cooking up a storm in a unique outdoor kitchen by Fisher and Pykel.
Peta Mathias, of televisions 'Taste of New Zealand' fame will join local restaurateur Michelle Lee Richards in a
fun-filled hour of banter and batter. The pair will demonstrate some recipe favourites, as well as distribute tastings
and recipe details.
" It's a great opportunity for people to see two local celebrity chefs perform. They won't be disappointed!' says
festival organiser Astrid Anderson. " We couldn't take everyone to the kitchen, so we are taking the kitchen to the
people!'
