Boston Rd partially closed this Sunday
Transit New Zealand advises that on Sunday 27 April, Boston Road will be closed between 8am and 10am for all traffic heading towards the motorway from the Mt Eden Road end. The closure will allow a crane access to carry out extensions to a project office for Transit New Zealand’s stage 1 (Khyber Pass to Gillies Ave) Central Motorway Junction upgrading project which, when completed, will improve the efficiency of the motorway junction.
During the closure, all traffic heading towards the motorway will be diverted via Normanby Rd and Auburn St. Motorists travelling towards Mt Eden Rd will not be affected. All detours will be clearly signposted.
While Boston Road will be fully operational after 10am, some traffic management will remain in place along the shoulder until noon.
Transit asks motorists to drive carefully past road works and to be mindful of signals and traffic management measures.
For more information on this project, visit the project information centre at the corner of Stanley Street & Alten Road, phone 0800 to Freeflow (0800 863 733) or visit the Transit website http://www.transit.govt.nz.
