Information relating to the Pasifika Festival

Please be advised that the following information relating to the Pasifika Festival is in response to questions asked about proposed changes for the Pasifika Festival:
The current one-day event will remain a free entry event.
Organisers in the future (2005/06) are working towards a multi-day event including a free event and a possible ticketed component.
The report adopted by the Auckland City Council’s Recreation and Events Committee concluded that the establishment of an organising body (Advisory Board), including representatives from key stakeholders, would be the best way to ensure the longevity and prosperity of the Pasifika Festival.
