Ceo Salary
Hutt City Council has resolved to increase the total remuneration of its Chief Executive by 4.6 per cent, back-dated to July 1 this year.
“Council considered that Mr Hart has fulfilled the terms of his contract with merit,” said Mayor John Terris.
“He has assisted Council in effecting a strategic change from a relatively narrow focus on debt reduction, which Council considers is now satisfactorily reduced and adequately managed, to a longer term concentration on strategic economic development and employment promotion in partnership with the local business community,” said Mayor Terris.
“In these areas, the results of Mr Hart's expertise and experience are already in evidence in an increase in economic activity in the city.”
The salary adjustment reflects a similar movement in the Cubix Index of Chief Executive's remuneration in the appropriate category. This brings his total remuneration to $216,208.
Council also resolved that Mr Hart receive a one-off bonus of $7500 for his very satisfactory performance in the year under review.
